I haven't done much vector art other than recreating logos for people for use in large signs or t-shirt printing and stuff. I need to find time to just start doing artwork for fun again though. A program you could use for doing vector files would probably be Adobe Illustrator as long as we are talking about the same type of vector art. The vector artwork we do is usually used for stuff you want to do on a large scale without losing any resolution, or embroidery and t-shirt design. You can do some pretty cool stuff with vector programs for sure but its not easy by any means. Good luck. Hope this helps.
